Of Continuing Interest

• Nickelodeon Network is scheduled to air a segment on kids with diabetes today, Sunday, March 23, 1997 at 8:30 PM Eastern Time. Featured in the story will be three children with diabetes, Zachary (on the pump) and two children on injections. Be sure to tune in.

• The Diabetes Team is seeking qualified health care professionals to help answer your questions.

• Kristine Lilly is conducting a survey run by the Child Study Center of Virginia Tech in Blacksburg, Virginia and the University of Kansas Medical Center.

• The Lilly Diabetes Scholarship Program will award fifty US$2,500 college scholarships to applicants with diabetes based on merit, community involvement, and academic achievement.

New This Week

• In Parents' Voices, Pam Wilson writes about dealing with Down Syndrome and diabetes.

• New to Kids' Voices is Shannon, a six year old diagnosed in November, 1996, tells us about when she was diagnosed with diabetes.

• The volunteer members of the Diabetes Team continue to work at a record pace, answering over 120 questions so far this month. If you've submitted a question and haven't yet received an answer, please be patient. If you haven't and are considering it, please be sure to review the index of previous questions before you submit a question.
